Specifically built for young riders, the all-new SM3 Youth helmet is designed with kids and juniors in mind, perfect for motocross, enduro and all types of off-road riding. Drawing on technology from Alpinestars' adult helmet range, it delivers an ideal mix of performance, protection and comfort.

FEATURES

• This lightweight helmet features a thermo-injected shell made from a specially blended polymer with varied thicknesses, engineered to provide excellent impact protection while keeping the weight down.

• The advanced outer shell is constructed from impact-resistant thermoplastic and comes in three youth sizes (Small, Medium and Large). The SM3 Youth weighs just 1060g (ECE) and 1170g (DOT).

• Separate shell versions are made to meet either DOT or ECE standards. The DOT version includes a composite fibre layer between the outer shell and EPS liner for added impact protection.

• Riders can adjust the fit with crown and cheek pads, which are available as genuine spare parts in multiple thicknesses.

• Youth Medium and Large share the same EPS size, while the Youth Small has a smaller EPS, which can only be customised using different cheek pads. Alpinestars’ research shows that Youth Small sizes typically suit kids aged 3 to 4, so a tailored fit is essential.

• A multi-density inner liner ensures the right level of protection in key areas, while helping to keep the overall weight down.

• Both inner and outer surfaces are designed to reduce the effects of angled (oblique) impacts.

• Alpinestars’ patented low-friction coating inside the main EPS liner helps reduce rotational forces from certain angled impacts. This coating works like a slip plane, mimicking the brain's natural cushioning—cerebrospinal fluid.

• A patented visor release system ensures the visor comes off with a specific amount of force, helping to reduce strain on the rider’s neck in a crash.

• The comfort liner is made from recycled materials to help lower the helmet’s environmental impact.

• Integrated hydration tube channels in the cheek pads boost both convenience and performance.

• With 10 intake vents and 7 exhaust ports, the helmet offers outstanding airflow and heat dissipation.

• The visor has been aerodynamically shaped to direct air straight into the vents, maximising ventilation.
